BETWEEN SPACES – FRACTURES

Performancekunstfestival 10.–12. Oktober 2025

Das Festival BETWEEN SPACES – FRACTURES lädt dazu ein, gewohnte Erfahrungsräume hinter sich zu lassen – und in Zwischenräume einzutreten: Räume des Staunens, des Zuhörens, der Irritation, des Wandels. Es sind Bruchstellen, Übergänge und flüchtige Momente, in denen sich neue Perspektiven auftun – zwischen dem Alltäglichen und dem Unbekannten, zwischen Licht, Klang, Bewegung und Stille.

Ob Theater, Performance, Zirkus, Musik, Tanz oder Lichtkunst – das Festival öffnet Orte, an denen Träume, Geschichten, Naturereignisse und künstlerische Interventionen erfahrbar werden. Vom Parkplatz über den Waldweg bis zur Bühne wird das Gewohnte hinterfragt und das Mögliche gefeiert.

Das Programm reicht von poetischen Klang- und Lichtperformances, über experimentellen Indie & Electronic Noise bis zu klassischem Streichquintett. Dazu gibt es zeitgenössischen Zirkus (Con Via), interdisziplinäre Performances, Konzerte, Workshops und eine künstlerisch kuratierte Festivalküche von Aaron Beck.

Ein besonderes Highlight ist die Tagtool-Convention am Samstag: Die Gründer:innen von OMAi sind vor Ort, geben eine Einführung in die App und laden zu einem offenen Workshop ein. Gleichzeitig treffen in den Performances Vergangenheit und Gegenwart dieses besonderen Mediums aufeinander: Die beiden renommierten Old-School-Performer:innen Die.Puntigam und Frances Sander arbeiten mit der analogen Originalversion des Tagtools – eine heute äußerst seltene Kunstform. Ihre Beiträge fließen in die Performances "Fluid Frame" und "Orpheus and Eurydice" ein.

• 11:00 Uhr: "Con Via" – Zirkustheater auf dem Billa-Parkplatz
  Ein humorvolles und artistisch verspieltes Theaterstück rund um das Leben im Wohnwagen. Mit Leichtigkeit, Akrobatik und einem Augenzwinkern öffnet Con Via den Blick auf die Dynamik des nachbarschaftlichen Zusammenlebens – direkt am Parkplatz, mitten im Alltag.

Freitag, 10. Oktober 2025

• 17:00 Uhr – "Echo Nature Stage"  - Performance-Weg & Bühnenpräsentation. Mit Bea von Schrader, Robert Steijn & Laura Pudelek.
  Ein gemeinsamer Weg durch die Natur wird zum Ausgangspunkt für eine poetisch-abstrakte Performance im Kunsthaus. Bewegung, Klang und Raum verschmelzen zu einem Erfahrungsraum zwischen Präsenz, Erinnerung und dem Ungewissen. Inspiriert von einer Residenz am Urhof20.
  
  
• 20:00 Uhr: "Graygreenblue Vol. 1992 – gesammelte Zwischenträume"  - Solo-Performance von Sophie Schollum & Ahoo Maher
  Eine klanglich-visuelle Reise durch improvisierte Querflötenklänge, Gesang, Elektronik und Lichtkunst. Zwischen persönlichen Erinnerungen und träumerischer Intuition entsteht ein fein gewobenes Spannungsfeld aus Atmosphäre und Emotion. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Musikfabrik NÖ.
  
  

Samstag, 11. Oktober 2025

• 13:00–16:00 Uhr – Tagtool-Workshop
  Ein interaktiver Einblick in die Welt des digitalen Zeichnens: Die Entwickler des Tagtool (OMAi) laden zu einer offenen Einführung und einem hands-on Workshop ein. Groß und Klein können die vielseitige App selbst ausprobieren und gemeinsam bewegte Bilder gestalten. 
  
  
• 16:30 Uhr – "Sediments" - Soloperformance von Antonina Zelenina
  Ein persönliches Solo über Körpergedächtnis, Erinnerung und Identität im Wandel. Aufbauend auf dem Projekt „Re/creation Lab“, bewegt sich Zelenina durch innere und äußere Landschaften, begleitet von Klangaufnahmen, die während ihrer Reise durch die Ukraine entstanden sind. Eine Erkundung von Fragmenten, Spuren und Verbindungen zwischen Körper, Ort und Erinnerung.
  
  
• 18:00 Uhr – "EntZündet" – Performance von Elena Waclawiczek & Daphne von Schrader
  Inspiriert vom Buch Inflamed erforscht die interdisziplinäre Performance körperliche, gesellschaftliche und planetare Zustände der Entzündung. Mit Tanz, Stimme und Klängen als Ausdrucksmittel geht es um Überlastung, Widerstand und die Frage nach Heilung. Der Körper wird dabei zum Träger kollektiver Symptome – und zum Ort möglicher Transformation.
  
  
• 19:30 Uhr – "Fluid Frame" - Mit Gina Schwarz (Kontrabass), Bea von Schrader (Tanz), Die.Puntigam & Matthias Fritz (Tagtool)
  In dieser Komposition treffen Klang, Bewegung und Lichtzeichnung aufeinander. Zwischen Improvisation und visueller Resonanz entfaltet sich eine poetische Choreografie des Wandels. Inspiriert vom Konzept des „liminal space“ entsteht ein fluides Spannungsfeld – zwischen Körper und Projektion, zwischen Musik und Licht, zwischen Gegenwart und Veränderung.

  Indie-Balladen und experimentelle Klangflächen treffen auf live entstehende Lichtmalerei. In dieser atmosphärischen Performance verweben sich Stimme, Instrumente und Projektion zu einer zeitgenössischen Interpretation des antiken Mythos – eine poetische Erzählung über Verlust, Sehnsucht und die Kraft des Augenblicks.

  Ein kulinarischer Treffpunkt für Austausch, Reflexion und neue Impulse. Die Festivalküche wird zum Ort des Verweilens – mit ausgewählten Speisen, anregenden Gesprächen und Raum zum Nachklingen.

  Franz Schubert: Streichquintett C-Dur D956 (1828) – ca. 54 Minuten
  
  Ein Wechselspiel aus Zeitgenössischem und Klassischem, aus Dichte und Leichtigkeit, aus Struktur und Emotion. Ein klingender Epilog für ein bewegtes Wochenende.

Performance Art Festival - October 10–12, 2025

The festival BETWEEN SPACES – FRACTURES invites you to step beyond familiar experiences and into the in-between: spaces of wonder, resonance, disruption, and transformation. These are places of rupture, transition, and fleeting presence where new perspectives emerge – between everyday life and the unknown, between light, sound, movement, and silence.

Whether theatre, performance, circus, music, dance, or light art – the festival opens up spaces where dreams, stories, natural phenomena, and artistic interventions can be experienced. From supermarket parking lots to forest paths and stages, the expected is questioned and the possible is celebrated.

The programme includes poetic sound and light performances (e.g., Sophie Schollum), experimental indie & electronic noise, and classical string quintet. There’s also contemporary circus (Con Via), interdisciplinary performances, concerts, workshops, and a festival kitchen curated by Aaron Beck.

A special highlight is the Tagtool Convention on Saturday: The founders of OMAi will be on-site to present an introduction and open workshop. At the same time, past and present versions of this unique medium collide: Renowned old-school performers Die.Puntigam and Frances Sander work with the original, analogue Tagtool – an extremely rare practice today. Their contributions will be featured in the performances "Fluid Frame" and "Orpheus and Eurydice".

  A humorous and playfully acrobatic theatre piece about life in a caravan. With lightness, circus artistry, and a wink, Con Via offers a fresh perspective on the dynamics of neighborhood life – right on the parking lot, in the midst of everyday routine.

• 5:00 PM – Echo Nature Stage - Performance walk & stage piece. With: Bea von Schrader, Robert Steijn & Laura Pudelek
  A shared walk through the surrounding nature becomes the departure point for a performative composition inside the Kunsthaus. Movements echo the textures of the landscape, sounds mingle with memories and intuition. Between presence and absence, nature and abstraction, a temporary collective space emerges – shaped by listening, silence, and the unfolding unknown. Developed during an artist residency at Urhof20.

• 8:00 PM – Graygreenblue Vol. 1992 – Collected In-Between Dreams. Solo performance by: Sophie Schollum (flutes, voice, electronics) & Ahoo Maher (light art)
  A sonic-visual tapestry between improvisation and composition. Dreamlike flute sounds, voice, and electronics meet carefully crafted light textures – weaving atmospheres between memory and imagination. Inspired by fragments, half-remembered scenes, and the desire to trace what lies beneath the surface. In cooperation mith Musikfabrik NÖ.

• 1:00–4:00 PM – Tagtool Workshop
  An interactive invitation into the world of digital light drawing. The developers of the Tagtool (OMAi) offer an open introduction and hands-on session for all ages. Participants explore how drawing, animation, and projection merge into live art. Meanwhile, two of the few artists worldwide who still use the original analogue Tagtool – Die.Puntigam and Frances Sander – share insights into their unique practices, paving the way for a fusion of old and new technologies in the evening performances.
  
  
• 4:30 PM – Sediments - Solo performance by: Antonina Zelenina
  A personal exploration of embodied memory, transformation, and identity in flux. Rooted in the “Re/creation Lab” project, Zelenina journeys through inner and outer landscapes, accompanied by field recordings captured during her travels through Ukraine. A poetic search for traces, fragments, and connections between body, place, and remembrance.
  
  
• 6:00 PM – EntZündet - Performance by: Elena Waclawiczek & Daphne von Schrader
  An interdisciplinary work inspired by Inflamed, this performance investigates inflammation as a condition – in the body, in society, in the Earth. Through movement, voice, and sounds, it speaks of overload, resistance, and the possibility of healing. The body becomes a carrier of collective symptoms and a terrain for transformation.
  
  
• 7:30 PM – Fluid Frame - Live performance with: Gina Schwarz (double bass), Bea von Schrader (dance), Die.Puntigam & Matthias Fritz (Tagtool)
  Sound, movement, and light drawings intertwine in a poetic, live improvisation. Inspired by the concept of “liminal space,” the performance explores transitional states – between bodies and images, between projection and presence. A choreography of becoming, where resonance replaces narration and transformation takes visual form.
  
  
• 9:00 PM – Orpheus and Eurydice - Live music & light painting
